If I have a love language, it for sure comes in the form of events. It's no secret to my family that I love to go a little overboard for birthdays and celebrations... because why not!?

After our most recent trip to Walt Disney World, my oldest got the idea of having a Disney themed birthday party. And once the idea was placed into my head, I assigned myself the role of Birthday Party Imagineer.

May I present to you: A Vintage Disneyland Birthday!

You see that background behind the cake? That was the inspiration for the entire party! I hand painted that onto a TV box...and we aren't going to talk about just how long that actually took. Let's just say it was a labor of love! It was about 5 feet wide, and nearly 3 feet tall.

Upon nearing the front door, you are greeted with a whole bunch of bubbles... because, whether you like it or not, you know that you can't go to Disneyland without walking through a sea of bubble wands. The small world greeting signs were painted on foam core.

Once you get into the building, you "tap" in with our MagicBand reader. This is actually just a light from Etsy, but a super cute touch to get the kiddos in the mood for a Disney day!

Yay! You made it to the party! Now it's time to suit up... so grab your ears (or hat)!

The first stop of the day is at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! Here, you can get some pixie dust (glitter) on your cheeks, and some tinsel in your hair. The girls all LOVED this part.

Now it's picture time! And how gorgeous are those balloons from Merrymint Celebration Boutique?!

After all of the magic and sparkles, the kiddos got to do a little pin trading, and take down Mor'du. This part was way more popular than I expected, haha.

And then there was the snacks. Oh the snacks! Being as this is probably on the top of everyone's Disney list... I knew the food was important. So, we filled them full of all the goodies in the form of churros, Rice Krispie treats, popcorn, Mickey ice cream bars, and POG juice.

And, of course, CAKE! This beauty was made by my sweet friend Lauren at A Pinch of Perfection. It was absolutely delicious!

The details of this party were an absolute dream to design. This day was the culmination of a Disney history nerd (me) getting to throw a party within her passion. Some of the details I knew that only I would get...and I was perfectly okay with that fact.

I even created a playlist of music that you'd hear in the parks. Not the classic movie songs - the ones on the rides!

And you can't go to Disney without a "goodnight kiss"... so you can't come to a Disney birthday party without one either!

Shout out to everyone who helped make this party truly into "The Happiest Birthday on Earth":
